Aps. Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua, Vice-Chancellor 


The Vice Chancellor of Pentecost University, Aps. Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua has said that the PU community has been revived and are expected to move out with the fire to shake the atmosphere with the virtues received from the Holy Spirit at Prayerfest 2021.

Prayerfest, an annual program organised at Pentecost University which seeks to contribute to the spiritual growth of the University community started on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 and ended on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the James Mckweon Auditorium.

The Vice-Chancellor speaking at the climax of Prayerfest 2021 under the theme "Revive us again O' Lord (Psalm 85:6)" admonished the Pentvars community to take the pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man if they want to cause revival to happen. Emphatically, he added "Don't mistaken this for pleasing men but in the process of pleasing God it must appear right before men".

Pentecost University students at Prayerfest 

Speaking on the topic; "The spiritual life of a student which can cause a revival to happen" (Psalms 27:17; Hebrews 4:7;2corinthains 8:20-21), the Vice-Chancellor encouraged all Christians to mimic the gospel. He encourgaged the University community to have what he called "spiritual receptivity"  to be able to hear from the Spirit of God.  He stated that "the various radio and television channels were operating, but you can't hear them until you have tuned to the channel". In the same manner, Christians should be constantly receptive to the channel of the Holy Spirit to hear from Him, as only then can a revival to caused. 

He concluded by expressing that "we must allow ourselves to be connected to the promptings of the spirit" and edged the whole University community to go out there and cause revival by demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Country Director of CIPS Ghana Mrs. Stella Aku Addo

 Pentecost University has been accredited by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), UK, through the Ghana chapter to offer both degree and professional chartered certificates in Procurement and Supply Chain Management. According to CIPS-Ghana, this is the first of such collaboration in the West African sub-region.

The partnership was out-doored on PU campus on Wednesday 22nd July 2021. It was attended by management and staff of Pentecost University as well as CIPS Ghana. This means that students who study Procurement and Supply Chain Management at Pentecost University will be awarded the regular Bachelor of Science degree and full membership as Chartered Procurement and Supply Chain professionals. This arrangement shortens the convention where graduates in the field are required to write multiple exams at the Institute before becoming chartered members. It takes effect from from September this year as the University prepares to admit students for the next academic year.

Some Procurement and Supply Chain Management students 

 Giving a brief background of the partnership, Dr. Joseph Lanton Mensah, who is the Manager for the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program at Pentecost University said full-fledged negotiations started in June 2020. He said CIPS UK took the University through rigorous assessment metrics. Dr. Mensah cited the evaluation and reconciliation of course structures, quality of faculty members, student internships as some of the metrics. He added that PU’s partnership with Salford University, UK also gave the negotiation process and leapfrog.

Commenting further, Dr. Mensah expressed excitement about the success of the negotiation and said the University looks forward to the international exposure that comes with it. He also looks forward to joint promotions on the side of both the University and CIPS


The Vice-Chancellor of Pentecost University, Rev. Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua, who gave the welcome speech at the ceremony said the collaboration will give students of Pentecost University competitive urge. He said “Pentecost University acknowledges the keen competition among universities all over the world and therefore, working hard to give our students the competitive urge through collaboration with professional bodies such as CIPS.

 The Country Director of CIPS Ghana Mrs. Stella Aku Addo in her speech reiterated the fact that this is the first time a University in Sub- Saharan Africa is given the accreditation for its students to receive chartered certificates of CIPS alongside its own degrees at the same time. She said her institute will do its part to protect and enhance this collaboration.

 Minority Leadership Of Pentecost University SRC Parliament Organizes Inaugural Minority Caucus Meeting

Minority Caucus of Pentecost University SRC

The Minority Caucus of the SRC Parliament for the 2020/2021 academic year met yesterday, 20th July, 2021 at the Phase 2 building (F1F1) in a formal meeting organized by the leadership of the minority caucus. 

The meeting, chaired by the Minority leader of Parliament in the person of Appiah-Badu Chris oriented the new members of Parliament on parliamentary affairs. 


The new members of the minority caucus also took turns to raise some issues and concerns with regards to their mandate as parliamentarians, regarded as the highest decision making body of the student council.

The issues discussed in the meeting ranged from the welfare of the student body, academics, communication and IT infrastructure, publicity, sponsorship, safeguarding the SRC’s finances and also matters of constitutional and judicial processes. 

The minority caucus used the occasion to appoint some members to form various committees to help streamline the activities of the minority leadership in parliament.

Grace A Brown, President of International Students Association as Ranking Member in charge of Education and Student affairs. 

Some notable appointments were the appointments of Honorable Samuel Ackon, Financial Controller for PENSA as the ranking member for the Finance Committee on the side of the minority in Parliament  and Grace A Brown, President of International Students Association as Ranking Member in charge of Education and Student affairs. 

Samuel Ackon, the financial controller for PENSA said he was highly motivated in his new role as the ranking member in charge of finance, to ensure that the SRC finances are put to good use.

 FRIENDS OF E. K. AGBO DONATES TO PENTECOST UNIVERSITY SECURITY MEN

Friends of E. K. AGBO, a Mentoring/Student Assistance group established to provide mentoring and academic assistance to students of Pentecost University earlier today, Saturday 24th April, 2021 showed love to Security Men on campus with food donations. 

Presenting the donations, the team leader Mr. Enoch Kpevor Agbo, a Level 200 Physician Assistantship student described the gesture as a "Birthday Donations" to the Security Men. 

He said, "Realising the work these men have been putting in, my team and I decided to show them so much love, on the special occasion of my birthday. We believe that motivation is key to an organisation's success. This is to motivate them to accomplish tasks quickly, take action and want to do a good job, both for themselves and for the security of students."



When asked why he created the group; "FRIENDS OF E. K. AGBO", Mr. Enoch K. Agbo stressed that, "the aim of the initiative is to provide mentoring and academic support to my colleagues. And also help students to become autonomous leaners and agents of their own change. I believe that this initiative will go a long way to help students accelerate their learning progress, catch up their peers, meet learning standards and generally succeed in school"



Receiving the donation on behalf of the security men, the Supervisor/Chief Security, Emmanuel Bedzra expressed appreciation to the group saying "we appreciate this kind gesture and this would serve as a source of motivation to work harder and perform the job to the best of our ability."
